According to Khobi Price of The Orlando Sentinel, Isaac will be classified as doubtful on the league's official injury report at first, but Orlando hopes to elevate his status to available following a team walkthrough.
Isaac tore his left ACL in August 2020, however during his recuperation, he suffered a setback and needed to have another surgery, this time on his right hamstring, in March 2022. He has increased his therapy greatly this season in preparation for a comeback. Isaac had progressed sufficiently earlier this month to be eligible to play for the Magic's G League club, the Lakeland Magic.
In addition to missing the conclusion of the 2019/20 season, Isaac, 25, will miss the whole 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons. He has also missed the first 46 games of the season for the Magic. Despite the fact that he was already scheduled to miss the whole 2020/21 season, Isaac signed a four-year, $80MM contract deal with Orlando before the season.
The career averages for the 6'11" forward are 9.3 PPG, 5.4 RPG, 1.5 BPG, 1.1 APG, and 1.1 SPG. He has only appeared in 136 games for the Magic after being picked sixth overall in 2017 out of Florida State.
