According to photographs and videos on Citizen, an app meant to allow individuals to report crimes in their neighborhood, a large police presence rushed to the 120 block of West Garvey Avenue in Monterey Park, a community in Los Angeles County. Several police trucks were observed blocking an open space between a GBC International Bank and a Chinese food shop called TS Emporium. Saturday night, W Garvey Avenue was lined with entertainment, shopping, and food options.
